Studio Squirrel
is small graphic design studio (I run it solo but have an amazing crew to keep me going). I am based in Montana. I believe in Big-Picture thinking, with an attention to detail, and awareness of the points at which details intersect. I strive to create communication pieces that are impactful and memorable. Design is spurred by passion and precision and needs to be supported with market research and strategy (form meets function).
Oh! and my name is Emily. I’ve been creating since a kid (we all have) but designing “professionally” for 17 years. I attended Montana State University (studied architecture + graphic design) and graduated from Oregon State University (in graphic design). I started Studio Squirrel in 2008.
My Interests: anything involving my crew. Outside is my favorite from: hiking, gardening, camping, cross country skiing, mountain biking, fly fishing, hunting (I don’t kill the animals I just like going), or helping our boys with FFA + 4h (they raise goats). Inside: making goat milk soap, watercoloring and illustrating goofy animals (someday I hope to write + illustrate a kid book). And the best for last, Jesus (he’s my #1).
Studio Squirrel has been apart of some amazing collaborations over the years
From non-profits who do work globally to small starts up businesses who have grown beyond the tiny sketch it started as.
This website only shows a snippet of the projects over the past fifteen years.
