Studio Squirrel is small graphic design studio (I run it solo) based in Montana. I believe in Big-Picture thinking, with an attention to detail, and awareness of the points at which details intersect. I strive to create communication pieces that are impactful and memorable. Design is spurred by passion and precision and needs to be supported with market research and strategy (form meets function).
If you would like more information about my strategy/process, pricing or past projects please contact me Emily Lewellen. I look forward to hearing from you!
I’ve been creating since a kid (we all have) but designing “professionally” for 12 years. I attended Montana State University (studied architecture + graphic design) and graduated from Oregon State University (in graphic design). I started Studio Squirrel in 2008. Prior to this I was an in-house graphic designer for: other studios, Holt International Adoption, and Market of Choice.
Currently I live in Three Forks, Montana. I am married to an amazing guy and we have been blessed with 4 boys. Being outside is one of my favorite things (from hiking, cross country skiing, running, gardening + camping) especially when all my men are with me. Plus anything that involves creating has my attention. My office always has post-it notes scattered around with the next “project” (half are my son’s sketches).
I am always up for a new project. You can look at my portfolio to see past works or visit my Facebook page or my blog. If it is a job I cannot complete by myself I have a handful of colleagues I collaborate with.
